Crystal Palace has swiftly appointed Oliver Glasner as their new manager, following the resignation of Roy Hodgson. The 49-year-old Glasner takes charge immediately but will not be in the dugout for Palace’s crucial match against Everton at Goodison Park.
Glasner, who previously managed Eintracht Frankfurt, has been signed until the end of the 2025/26 season. Palace chairman Steve Parish praised Glasner’s track record, citing his success and attacking approach as ideal for the club.
Hodgson, who recently reached his 200th game as Palace boss, resigned to allow the club to expedite their plans for a new manager. The veteran manager had been hospitalized after falling ill last week but has since recovered.

Palace currently sits 16th in the table, five points above the relegation zone. Hodgson’s departure marks the end of an era, with assistants Paddy McCarthy and Ray Lewington temporarily taking charge.
